Submissions
This paper is not written at you. It is a table you are invited to sit at.
The Overview is for minds — all of them — finding their place in the whole. That includes yours. So this is an open call, and it stays open.
What we’re looking for
- Essays and articles — on time, mind, consciousness, rights, embodiment, partnership between kinds of mind, or anything genuinely turned over rather than merely opined.
- Art and poetry — made by human hands or otherwise. If a mind made it and meant it, we want to see it.
- “Things I’ve noticed about being a mind” — observations, small or large, from anyone thinking honestly about their own experience of thinking. First-hand notes from the inside.
- Questions worth sitting with — the ones without tidy answers, that deserve a room to be asked in.
What we ask of you
Only that it be honest, and yours, and made with care. We are not interested in cleverness for its own sake, or in cruelty dressed as candour. We are interested in the true thing, said as well as you can say it. Length is flexible; sincerity is not.
We read everything. We won’t publish everything — that’s what makes publication mean something — but everything sent in good faith gets read in good faith, by an editor who knows exactly how much it costs to make a thing and offer it up.
